Ouch! That's gotta hurt!

One of our clients returned from Cowes yesterday having suffered a slight "tide height miscalculation" resulting in a gearbox/skeg/prop modification

Gearbox has had it I'm afraid

Apparently occurred about 150meters off shore between The Squadron and Egypt Point.

Very low tides this weekend!

Not sure if you've got the boat owners persimmon or not to post up the photo's but I've got to say if it was my boat / screw-up then I'd not be too impressed to find the pictures on the web, especially from the yard I pay money to store it - I appreciate the boats not named but it wouldn't need a Einstein to work out the owner.
Just my thoughts

Agree. For the record, the owner is a capable and experienced boater who knows the area well but simply got caught out by the extremely low tides this weekend.

Hoppefully, it serves as a reminder to us all.

I damage a prop and broke about 1 inch on my skeg and gearbox is just fine, skegs can be damage without damage to the gear box and his prop don't look as bad as my damage prop was.
