outboard decals?

Anyone know where I can get some decals made up for my little Merc 25? ive seen a few US sites but with shipping and the inevitable customs charge it works out expensive.

Try your local sign writers, they'll usually be able to help.

That's a really sore point for me. I hate to see an engine die and was looking for a 4hp Yam 1989 ish. I found one which required surgery. After doing my sums I thought it was only just worth restoring. At least it would be fully reconditioned.

So, usually I go for standard post and get a bill of about 18usd from Fed Ex. A little annoying but it's a hobby.

This time I wanted the parts quicker so took the $75 priority USPS service.

Then I got a letter from a Parcel Force. £60 UK Customs charge and £12 to parcel force to have Saturday delivery.

I hate to part out an engine but the hobby is becoming too expensive. The parts are dear and the postage and charges add insult to injury.

Looks like the fun is coming to an end.

That's the problem with stuff from outside the EU. People forget Custom's charges. Whilst there are various wheezes to avoid it, if the sender will only do things above board then you're stuck with it.

Google "fox transfers". They do stuff from artwork. I was going to use them for a cowl refurbishment but other jobs took priority so I can't tell how the decals would handle the brine.

Try this one:

shabestari on eBay

He can do almost any decals(also custom made), sends them by mail at very cheap costs, only a fraction of the price many other asks. Don't think you will be charged vat or custom duties, the value is so low.
