I have a bf115 honda and could do with some advise on security, my insurers state it must be locked onto the boat, what's the best device for doing this?
I just picked up one of these volcano locks. Any lock will need a liberal application of grease and checking often to make sure it doesn't give in to the salt.
Admittedly, it didn't stop the engine going walkies one night but however the insurance paid out. I am insured with Towergate and they asked for an invoice to prove I had bought the lock. Make sure you keep all the paperwork and, to be safe, I would take photos of the fitted lock and email to your insurers too. I will do this religiously from now on.
