outboard scam.
Found this on b&o.

Outboard Engine for sale , MERCURY / MARINER 225HP OPTIMAX OUTBOARD - Boats And Outboards

Prompt reply on the ad and excuses on why they won't give me a phone no. About waking a new born baby.

Ad says taken in part ex. Seller says it's private. Obviously Looking like a scam but any of you tech's give me a location if I can get an ip address? If I can.

If they have HMA (hide my arse) software they can make their ip address appear to be almost anywhere they want it to, I had a problem with a web design guy blocking my ip so I bought the software and can change my ip address to be from anywhere in the world, it will even automatically change it every few minutes if you want.
So an ip address isn't much good in tracing them if they don't want you to.
(At the moment my real one will show as I don't need to try and fool ribnet !)

Typical scam advert MO, single picture, private advertiser (ie free advert) with no contact number. Standard email response with story of free shipping etc.

My advice is if its a single private advert with just the one picture don't even bother to enquire.

Obviously this is my personal opinion, from Boatsandoutboards4sale - we have nothing to do with the B&O website, other than having a trade account on there.
