Wasn't there an article written on a SR4 with a 40HP 4 stroke?
Could well have been the comparison of the original SR4 with a 40 and the 4m 'new' avon????? I'm probably making it up now...........memory not as good as it used to be.....
I meant the 'new' 4m avon adventure which has a totally differant hull to the SR- much flatter etc.
The doelfins are bolted to the anti cav plate to give extra lift at the stern. There are differant manufactuers but they all do the same sort of thing. A search on here will explain all.
What do you guys think about this boat? http://www.avonsr4.nl/ ? Asking price converted to pounds is about 5133 pounds...
Is it worth it or better order a new one?

I'd not buy new as they are very expensive , unless you intend to keep the boat forever it just not worth it ( I think). But the 2stroke motors I think are better suited .
Is there anyone who can tell me a bit more about the new Searider???
I dont think there is a 'new' searider - the SR hull sold nowadays is the same as it has always been I think. Avon do other 4m boats but nothing with as good a hull as the SR series of boats.
Never heard of any quality issues with any SR (except old abused ones ! - and that is only due to poor rigging meaning water in the deck etc )
