I know there are a couple of ex Glasgow Schools Sailing Club sailors kicking round on here. I suspect without GSSC and places like Blairvadach they may never have stepped foot in a boat and wouldn't be ribbing today.
Blairvadach is apparently going to close. Short sighted in my opinion when we worry about youth crime rates etc.
Has the petition been posted on facebook outdoor leaders groups?
It has been shared on Facebook - I saw it twice there before it appeared here - but if you are a member of specific outdoor instructors groups then you might want to share it there too. That said the value of petitions is pretty minimal.
