Owning 2 boats or more?

Rib and a yacht, do very different things with them. Spend weekends and longer trips away sailing and diving on the yacht, the rib is mainly used for diving trips sometimes using the yacht as accomodation as a mother ship. Recently taken the rib out of the boat park in the marina to save the £1,700 fees, will now just trailer it.

I've got a RIB for crap weather (getting used a lot this year) and diving etc.

And a "Powerboat" for when its flat calm and sunny.... lot more comfortable and social than a RIB and I'd rather use that 24/7 truth be told no wet suits / dry suits needed, good stereo, leather seats etc make it a far more comfortable experience... but I've used it twice this year

BUT... storing and insuring two boats is sometimes a royal pain the ass.

Rib for diving and fishing,32foot motorsailer for weekends or weeks away. sib for other stuff. Not got any kids to waste money on so it goes on boats!!!! Forgot about the Labradors they cost my wife a fortune!!!

My 5.8m Vipermax is a very capable waterski boat and good for offshore journeys, etc. Can carry a bit of a crowd on board if needed.

The SR4.7 is economical to run with its 50hp, 4-stroke motor, easy to launch & recover (even over sand), so a good boat to take away behind the camper van without any real slipway concerns. A comfy 2-seater RIB with a nice deep-v hull if things chop up a bit.

The R340 RIB is handy for buzzing about on the river and cheap to keep in the boatyard, so is always on hand if we fancy a run to the pub or a spin upriver on spring tides. The River Cleddau is really well suited to small RIBs, so this one gets quite a lot of use.

Then there's the SIBs........

Sounds like me. Whenever I see a poor unloved boat I just have to take her in an give her some loving. I think I have about 8 as well, but not counting anymore.

I'm the same as gordyp rib and a yacht, the yachts in loch feochan Oban so is a good floating hotel for diving. My dad has a fishing boat (predetor 165) and brother had 4.8 tornado.

I think were just a water / boating family.

6.3 Humber RIB moored for the sea, 2.5m grp hulled avon rib with 4hp I throw on the roof of the car for canal and river when not on the coast. Ideal.

Well I have the 3 listed below + the inflatable in my aviator & a sailing dinghy I keep on a local lake for a bit of sailing now and again.
Keep the SR4 down in Salcombe for now & tow the Ribeye down to & take it for Sunday trips over to IOW. The Bombard is in the shed in salcombe too but may bring this back home.
Yes I have too many boats as my wife would tell you but even she would not know which one to sell & I do have 3 daughters to keep happy so they can all have one to there self @ leave me in the inflatable!
Oh or there is always the kayak for the wife to use
