P&O Showdown 3rd July

Anyone planning an outing for this??

I am considering it, they arrive at a very early time in the morning starting at around 4AM so that's not so good, I am considering taking a day off work and going from Poole to Southampton in the late afternoon to take a look at the fleet and see some of them depart early evening, then blast back to Poole. But it depends upon the weather as I cant be assed to battle big waves across and back (getting old).

There will also be some fireworks and a display by red arrows.

My alternative plan would be to drive up to hythe in the land rover and take a look from there.

Its been in my diary for ages & I've booked the day off & now SWMBO has too, so for us its all down to the weather now. We are out of Trafalgar so the journey nothing like as long as from Poole. Given bad weather we may stay ashore too: see what turns up!
