Pacific 22 info needed

I just bought a Pacific 22 and really need some tech info, like manuals for boat, engine and transmission. Also does anyone know good places to get mechanical and hull spares?

I have heard some pdf versions of tech publications for this boat are available, this would be ideal.

Try downloading the manual from pete7's site (polar-ribs.co.uk) . I bought my p22 from Neville aka Airtight Engineering in Edinburgh. He has all spares , legs, engines and keeps allegedly every part for the mermaid and the sternpowr unit new & used on the shelf. he even has a new engine. I have found him a bit difficult to get in touch with as he works offshore. He spent a whole weekend rectifying a fault on my engine / drive and didnt charge a bean even though it had just run out of warranty. Try 07941 938981. Also Mermaid Marine are helpful for the engine, they are on the net. They are quite good and it is amazing that you the director will answer the phone and give information such as valve clearances for the turbo 4 at 5pm on a friday afternoon. Try that with yamaha ! Also people like asap marine will stock the round hatches at a good price. 20 quid each last time i looked. Finally when things get tough and you win the lottery you can give halmatic a try. They will be very helpful at making your wallet lighter! Actually i did get some gelcoat which was a good match from halmatic last year but it was about £50 for a jam jar full! Good luck

The boat manual is on the polar ribs website as stated in the last post.

I have both the engine and sterndrive manuals but both are only in hard copy.

For engine spares you can't beat Mermaid so go straight to them http://www.mermaid-marine.co.uk/

For sterndrive parts, the only UK supplier is lancing marine but they are very expensive and I haven't found them to be very helpful at all.

I order my spares from the USA - this guy ruddymart@hotmail.com has an ebay shop and I've got parts from him before. See the thread about outdrive problems on Pacific 22 on ribnet.

You will get loads of info from reading the ribnet threads.

Where are you based?

I live in Plymouth and I have both the mermaid and the sternpowr manual.

Unfortunately, they are both hard copy and too big to scan or photocopy fully.

If you are local, then we could sort something, or if its just a few pages you require, I could probably scan them and email.
