Pacific 22 Stern Drive Removal of Steering Piston

Hi
I am currently stripping down the steering system of a Pacific 22, to renew the piston seals.
I have removed the centre mounts and the piston now slides freely but I can’t remove the piston from the leg housing.
Any ideas would be very helpful.

Jimbo has a complete stern powr manual but he is away until Monday or so, might be worth sending him a pm asking him to have a read.

Owing to the powers of modern technology, I am on my laptop from our mess tent, so read, received, understood, and when I return on Monday I'll copy the manual for you!

I have many used parts for Stern Powr Drives if you find you need any. Including steering cylinders and lifts. wfmdfm1@verizon.net
You can also check out the Stern Powr web site to get a copy of the 100 series manual. http://www.sternpowr.com/
