Pacific RIB info

Is there an "oracle" for all things relating to Pacific RIBs? I will be picking one up shortly and would like to learn more about them.

The listing for the Pac 22 with Hamilton Jet on Ebay has ended.....looked interesting....is it that one by any chance (need a nosey icon)?

The chap at DD pacifics is pretty helpful and Pete7 always seems to give useful info as well as several others on here.....some interesting stuff in the archives to be found

We've been rebuilding a Pac for the past 12 months and whilst in no way am I an 'oracle' (or even close) am happy to answer any queries /help out if we can re practical queries...... Love the halmatic build quality, about to get going on an Atlantic 21....well, over the winter.....

i have put a deposit down on the one that was on e-bay with the console at the stern and jet.
I have been after a Pac 22 with a jet for a while, it should make an interesting project for the winter. It appears to be well maintained and goes ok. It has a Ford Sabre 250 BHP 6 cyl turbo diesel, that sounds like a bus at idle..but sounds good once the turbo spools up.
It is a bit fumey standing right at the stern, but is very comfortable in a chop. Hope to collect it next week.

i am interested to try and trace its history. I don't know whether they ran these engines normally when a jet was fitted? I guess the old Mermaid would probably struggle with a jet (performance wise). The layout with the stand up console looks to be well done, but I am not sure it was originally like this, unless it was a test boat?

Nice That looked really interesting, nice buy I reckon......look forward to seeing some more pics /learning more about it as you investigate!

Seems there was a lot of different /experimental set ups over the years....The Pac 24 we have (longer /wider dims than current P24 at 27 foot /built 1997) was built with a Caterpillar engine (reengined to Yanmar 2007) and has a Castoldi 06 Jet..... Have fun with her, will watch your progress with interest
