Painting Epoxy resin

Can anybody advise what paint is best for epoxy resin (epoxy paint I guess!). I have a small wooden and epoxy glass fiber auxiliary bracket which I coated in resin to seal but would like to make it look a bit better. It's only small so I reluctant to get a standard tin of paint. A tester pot would do it.

Thanks in advance

Was it definitely epoxy you used? If it was a fibreglass resin kit that will very likely be polyester which is a different thing.

If it was epoxy then a good key is required then epoxy paint of your choice.

180. Grit prep
Hmg polykote 4+1 primer
Nock back with 400 grit
Top coat hmg Acrythane A211

This is top notch finishing

Cheaper option on a budget,
180 grit prep
Then 320 grit

Straight coat in Hmg Monathane ,, it will adhere direct

thanks for the info guys. The resin I used is definitely epoxy as I chose it for adhesion to wood. I'll look for some epoxy paint but struggling to get a small enough tin. It isn't worth £50 to me for the bracket to be prettier.

Hempel's Light Primer 45551 or equivalent works well as primer also on epoxy, think it is available also in 0,375 tins. Can be finished with various top coats. Not easy to get a smooth finish but can be applied in relative cold temperature(+5 out of memory)
