Painting hypalon tubes

Good morning everyone!
I'm new to the forum and had a few questions about repainting the hypalon tubes on my RIB. Maybe this is a dumb, but, has anyone ever tried using truck bed lining paint? Is it flexible enough to withstand the constant swelling and deflation of the tubes? Too caustic for the material? Thoughts?

Thoughts:- Unless you have a very good reason to paint the tubes, don’t.

X2
.....I don't know ANY good reason!

Repair/Patch/ Cover OR ...Replace are the only real options of ANY consequence.

I keep hearing people saying this.

Anyone like to educate me as to why they shouldn’t be painted though?

I would say painting tubes can smarten up really dull tubes.
But is really a last resort prior to retubing as it eventually
Cracks and peels which means you will have to rub down and
Repaint. I once owned a rib that had been painted, I got a
Couple of seasons out of it before repainting

when you say “repaint” I assume they’ve been painted once before?

Yes. I did. I used Krylon Fusion of all things. A cheap fix that actually held up pretty well for a number of seasons. I've wanted to try Tuff Coat and/or Flexithane, but, if that stuff will only hold up for a season or two as well, I'd probably just stick with the rattle cans. I guess I could always save up for new tubes.
