Painting the Tubes?

My Rib is now 8 years old and I was wondering how to spruce them up to look as good as new. I have been told that there is a vinal paint availble which when properly applied (sprayed) will make the tubes look as good as new.

Has anyone heard of such a product? Does it work?

Comments would be much appreciated.

There is a product being sold on the US eBay site that is intended to do the job - have heard good things but never tried it myself. search for item number 3680843244. There are pictures, description, user comments, and contact info for more details. good luck!

Painting Tubes

There is a 3M product on the market, a citrus based cleaner which worked very well for me. A lot of rubbing with fine wire wool and mine came up fine. I found it at a 3M stockist in Reading...Tel 01189-4838333...posted next day, minimum order of £25.00. The 3m part number is 50098. There is also a very good 3M Marine Outdoor Vinyl Cleaner that I used after.

I know this sounds like an advert for 3M but both these products in connection with a lot of work on your behalf may bring your Rib tubes back to new.
