I am looking to paint my Avon rib. I've just bought it and it could do with a bit of sprucing up while the engine is off.
Firstly the hull is GRP or something similar, and it has a slightly rough feel.
I'm hoping to gel coat the bottom, could anyone recommend a paint?
Also, I would like to paint the deck, I have some Alhythane 7500 and primer left over from some jobs I've done around the house, could anyone see a problem with me using this? (It cost me enough!!)
I might contact them to see of I could use it elsewhere on the boat as it really is amazing stuff. Rock hard and flexible. I painted my upvc windows a few years back and still look like new. Although, they're not submerged in water!

Lastly, my hypalon tubes have previously been painted. I'm looking to do a few small repairs and then paint it. Again, is there a certain brand that anyone could recommend?
