Parascending RIB

Just been watching the ITV player to catch up with Joanna Lumley seeking the source of the Nile. In the latest/last episode she is in a ZapCat with a paraglider wing on the top. When the rapids become too difficult to navigate (33 mins into episode) they build up speed and take off to glide over them. Looks like fun. Anyone else tried it?

More like a hang glider wing really - I think one flew with special permission at Ribex a few years ago, but they aren't allowed to fly here for some reason - something to do with them not fitting a category probably.
