I like the idea of the extension for the engines and did not know Valiant had gone down that road. I believe Zodiac Hurricane were first to fit such.

The 2 passengers in front have a greb handel. We belive that the passengers can jump(on a wave) and then fall down on the iron grebs!!! until now we have not hat an accident.
About the extension.I also belive that is was Hurricane who startet out whit this ide, and the things you mention is also correct. But we have hat a lot of problem whit this extension. there is not enough lift in the extension to carry the weight of the engine. so the back of the boat is lying deep in water. After 30 hours the welding was beginning to crak...
Then we got a new one on. This is bigger but will not let go of the water, so we are only doing 45 knots whit 500hp, not enough!!!
The new boat we are geting in jan. 05 is also whit out this extension.

Andre, any idea of the cunsumption yet.
I have to transport a rib with the same engine set up from Tilbury to Falmouth later this year and need to work out if it will be cheaper by lorry or sea.

Since my jolly in December the rib has been under roof cos of the winter season. The Poles now think more of sking then boating
will know more in the spring but by then we hope it will be sold
I agree with JK take the rib by sea

The general belief is that you either love them or you hate them.
Not having had any experience with the Etec I would say I just love the Verado

So, months have gone and we are waiting for answers.
-Is the fuelconsumption 35% higher than e.tech
-Is the top speed of the 900 Baltic with twin 250´s only 50+ knots? And please be honest, do not add the 5 knots everybody like to add in order to sell!!!
What is the improvment in speed with twin 275´s?

Remember if you are considering 275's that you will have to run them on super unleaded (higher octane fuel) to gain the extra performance from them. Not always readily available at the quayside I would imagine!!

Following my demo in Dec last year the rib was not put back on the water due to the winter . at the time when I was testing it the GPS was on the blink so no accurate figures. 46/50 knots would be close enough. Please remember that the Parker 900 Baltic is a much heavier rib then the Scorpion who once had.
This particular Parker 900 Baltic with twin Verado 250 has been sold and delivered only last week to a client in Finland. talk to Peder and he will tell you more.
As for the Verado 275 then we have on order for delivery in June for a Polish client a Parker 900 baltic with twin Verado 275 and only then we will be in a position to quote you exact figures. However the extra 50 HP should make a small difference

I am sat at my desk in a stuffy, open-plan office, my boss is talking at me over the small partition separating our desks while watching the video on one of my 17” LCD monitors, the other monitor is flashing something at me about a “system down”… lets watch again!
I’ve got to ask, how much would a set-up like that cost in the UK? (I presume it would be fully coded?)
