I use:
QHM, QHM, This is the Rib Nashers Revenge, Nashers Revenge. I'm at the Ballast Pile(or Camber entrance) Can I have permission to cross to the Camber(Or Ballast Pile) please. Over.
I'm expecting in reply:
Nashers Revenge, Nashers Revenge, this is QHM, QHM, permission granted, Over.
But as Dry run suggests I expect they get fed up with the formality.

Oi Oi! I wasn't having a dig - except at myself! Never understimate my ability to overlook the bleeding obvious.
I appreciate both the Gunwharf details and the reminder to talk to QHM. Otherwise I would have bowled up and inevitably just got told off.
I wonder if I can think up an amusing boat name to use that'll make, if not QHM, anyone else listening in, chuckle.

Oh god, don't use a name that's different to what's on the boat, they are watching remember, and that Matt Black Rib with a Blue light and shooty things will appear from nowhere.

This all reminds me of a time many years ago (I guess I was 14 perhaps) when we went out on my fathers yacht for a pootle round. Early season, so no sails on board, just the roller reefed jib, which was also the forestay.
So we motored from langstone round to portsmouth just for a bit of a day out. Just up past where the carriers are now - the motor conked out!
My father quickly realised we had run out of fuel, he'd not done his beginning of season fillup yet - and with no sails rigged, we were a bit stuck as we drifted towards the submarine that was moored up there. Maybe 40' off it at this point - too close, in all cases!
Anyway, he found a rope and rigged up a jib sheet, so we were able to fly that - but only making maybe 1 knot against the tide.
So we spent the hour+ or so trying to sail out of portsmouth harbour, in the big boat channel - that was about the limit of control we had!
I'm not sure who did more shouting at the other, my father or QHM. Neither were very happy.
With hindsight, I'm not sure why he didn't just get some assistance to put in at Haslar or wherever and fill up with diesel - he had enough tools on board to bleed the injectors. Instead we ended up going over the submarine barrier (couldn't make the gap - if you know the barrier, you know how lucky we were to not hit it) and having to use the seagull outboard on the tender tied alongside to make it through the old railway bridge at the top end of langstone harbour.

The only thing I'd add to this is that I (pretending I'm Nasher's Revenge) also say
"QHM, this is Nasher's Revenge, thank you very much for that. Have a good day. Nasher's Revenge out."
As well as being polite, it also helps with training out the stage fright.

Blimey Matt you were lucky with the barrier.....(unlike the late Mr Buzzi in 2008)
I've crossed the harbour many times but the funniest was when our little 18 foot Rinker was called "Yeah Baby". It meant when i called up on Ch 11 to QHM, he had to respond with..."Yeah Baby this QHM....over"

I was there watching him do that - from up on the hill - so we could see the blocks just under the water. A lot of boats hit it - many of whom should have known better, a number of solent regulars (including some people who were just out there watching the start). Lots of lessons learnt:
1. Muster Area too close to the barrier
2. Boats were drifting towards the barrier (wind & tide)
3. Wasn't called out with sufficient priority/impact in drivers briefing
4. Muster area wasn't patrolled enough - ie someone shouting "Oi, Clear Off" at boats that wandered too close
5. Race Boat navigators should have done their homework (Which as we sadly know, was also a contributory factor in Fabio's death @ Venice too)
Nevertheless, a great shame. Such an epic boat. It nearly sank! He tried and tried to get it repaired overnight, but there was just too much damage to patch it back together.
"Yeah Baby" : Love it! I think this could be the adopted name for the rib this weekend.

A very successful weekend taking friends and kids boating.
It’s obvious that “QHM this is Oi OI, Ballast to Gunwharf please, over” is all that’s required. And he responds with “Oi Oi QHM Approved”. Or not if he wants you to wait a moment.
Bit annoying that gosport marina were out of petrol but didn’t share this on any of their social media platforms. Could have caused a problem, but managed to work around it.
And the new shearwater cutter 7.0 on hire from bembridge marine was nice. About 35 knots flat out through a bit of chop and it clips over the top nicely.
Could do with another 100hp though if I was buying one.
