Actually I may well go, higher management has given her approval
Besides engine week is the third week of the month.

Thanks chaps. I will have to look at it a bit nearer the time due to work commitments.

Could be a bit of fun though

I would be up for this weather permitting, will be guided by local knowledge about slips. I know Porthkerris well dive from there couple times a year.

The boat should be fine, I would be the problem.

Basically it would need to be fairly calm or it would be airborne all the time and the speed would drop off. Would have to look at the conditions nearer the time. A following sea with NE winds would be perfect, a breezy SW wouldn't be very nice on the way over. Obviously the reverse on the way back...

How do you know its still around

Very tempted,weather permitting.
It will be a Pz or Local launch, leaving car and trailer home.

We'll leave from Fal. PZ probably better for you.

Just plugged the route into PC Planner and came up with:
Fal to PZ is 32Nm
PZ to Scilly 34Nm including a trip to Longships lighthouse and Seven Stones

Fal straight to Scilly is 55Nm, with a final leg of 38Nm.

I've emailed the PZ harbour master asking his advice about launching and parking, but think that even if you need a visit into PZ to top up with fuel, it may be better to leave from Falmouth. (Looking at Google maps theres a Tesco fuel station a mile away from PZ harbour, a nice walk or a short taxi ride?)

If the harbour master in PZ replies, I let you know what he says..
