Petrol NW Scotland (north of Dunstaffnage)

Hi

Can anyone chip in with recent practical knowledge of waterside petrol availability as we go north from Dunstaffnage - even as far as Lochinver or Stornoway?

I can't think of anywhere...............but then I've mainly fuelled survey boats round there by diesel tanker on the quay so wasn't really switched on to it.

thank you

I think you'll be struggling for "waterside" petrol other than the Clyde.

There are a few places where the local petrol station isn't to far from the pontoons. eg Tobermory, Gairloch, Malaig, Portree but it's mostly going to be to hand balling gerry cans.

I think you're right - but I thought it wouldn't hurt to see if someone could come up with a blinding gem! :-)

you can get petrol in Lochinver at the petrol station about a 15 min walk from the pontoon moorings .if there's no one there go over the road to the spar I think it might be they operate the fuel station.

we will be there in four weeks and counting hope this good weather holds

Think you'll be hand filling via Jerry cans. Nothing is really set up, even more so for petrol :-(
