Places to stay in Poole area with rib

Having been out today with three other ribs users we have all thought it would be nice to visit Poole for a couple of days. It probably wont happen anytime soon due to work but all of us fancy a trip away.

does anyone local know a fairly good place to stay at overnight with secure parking for the ribs and also places to launch with a car.

Any ideas / knowledge welcome having never ventured further than our slipway....

Ribs are 2 4m's and 2 5m's.

Thanks. matt.

Hi Matt, There is a camp site in Wareham for tents and caravans, they have their own slipway into river that leads into the back of poole harbour about 15/20 mins. slip is concrete and wide enough to launch two side by side, plenty of parking for trailers and tow cars close by, & just out sde of the booking hut for safety, we have been several times pretty basic ,but showers hot/clean. can't find tel no at moment, but google redcliff farm wareham for info.

Trevor

Rockley Park Campsite and Slip in Poole is a great site, camping and slipway is one of the nicest a and ideal location but Barter on the launch price!!
Redcliffe farm is ok, but long haul out of the river, only navigable 1/2 tide reach, mudbanks and shallow water beware and cant keep boat in overnight,(if you cant be arsed to recover).!
