I'm looking to get some sort of boat training to help me use my RIB in the sea as I am quite new to RIBs, I was told that RYA pt2 is the kiddie that I should source!! can anyone tell me if this is right? if so do you know an address or phone number? (in the NW area, I'm in Wrexham N.wales) Thanks.

Or possibly Codprawn in Swansea ( you'll need to supply your own boat)
Or Hugh Jardon in Surrey (you'll need to bring along a steering system,an engine , a pile of tools ,a big packed lunch and a sandwich for yourself)

2. Jono Garton @ Professional Powerboat Training in Pwllheli

I did my level 2 at Plas Menai in June - the course was well taught and using good equipment, although, don't rely on their waterproofs!
The Menai is a beautiful area which added to the enjoyment, and there's some nice navigational challenges for us newbies.

Enjoy,
Tim.

Agree with others.
Well worth the effort.

Worth doing Advanced then when you have a bit of time.
A radio course is pretty necessary also

Most Instructors are also happy to do short courses on any specifics which one might find particularly difficult.

Best of luck
