Terrible news, for the young racer, his family, friends and the participants.

I know everyone will wish him a speedy and full recovery.

And maybe allow the spotlight of publicity to move discretely away from those close to him as they focus on his convalescence?

I was speaking to someone today whose grandson was in the same race. The lad is doing well and responding to treatment.
