Problems recovering boat on Teeside...

In the second 'drowned car' incident of the day Redcar RNLI had to deal with someone recovering their boat but getting it a bit wet.

("Hello? I think there's water in the carburetor, Darling")

About one minute into this video

Or on the BBC.

Problems recovering boat on Teeside...

Area i use all the time ,
as well as the high spring tide that wont of helped some of the sand on the beaches the areas away from the normal public slips can have patches of very soft unstable sand especially for vehicles .
the second incident at paddys hole southgare is not far off the main Tees shipping channel as well as patches of soft sand wash from passing ships wont have helped either .
theres a fantastic private concrete slip into deep water without driving on sand not far away at Paddys hole belonging to the South Gare marine club ,
but owing to a small number of serious incidents involving public launched boats It was decided in the interest of safety to now have it just club members only .
