Project anyone...

Not Mine just saw it,

Rib Speed Boat With 75 Yamaha Engine | eBay

What are peoples general opinion about taking on a project like this?

Far to easy to get carried away and spend the wedding money me thinks...

Well, the seller is a liar. The tubes have been wrecked - it's either a major repair job or a retube. From that, you can't assume the motor is worth a damn. The RIB itself looks like an Assault, so fairly unloved on here.

Don't walk - run.

I suppose it depends on what you want at the end.
  • A nice RIB
  • The fun and satisfaction of doing the work.
  • A cheap RIB.
I reckon you could end up with achiving the first two. But perhaps to do all three you should just build one from scratch.

Looking at the name on the tube I thought it was an early Tornado.

Indeed - I missed that, the console was sooo Humberesque. So it's probably PU tubes as well then? Either way, I'd be running quite quickly at this point

Quick step in the opposite direction would suffice.
