A few photo's of the Outboard. Its a 150 DI XL shaft and comes with a Viper (apt name) 14.75" X 21" prop.

I've never heard of a Viper before, they any good?

Andy,

Engine looks real nice. You don't see many Evinrudes in black. Is that a special edition ?

Nick.

PS. Enjoy learning tomorrow !!

It doesn't look particularly special to me, but it doesn't look particularly black to me either

Looks black on my PC. Is it the Evinrude E Tec Dark Blue ?

Its my daughters PC actually. If she knows its showing colours all wrong she'll be asking for a new monitor. Best I don't tell her.

Out of interest, did Powertec position the engine off-centre on the transom? and if so, did they remember its a left hooker as your previous post?

I'm asking as I often wonder about the reality of needing to off-set by an inch or so, and some builders don't off-set the engines.

When I put the Suzi on my boat I off-set it by an inch, and then adjusted the trim tab to get it to run straight and flat. I did wonder if I could have got the adjustment just with the trim tab.

Nasher.

Andy,
Mine has a Viper prop, seems OK (but I'm no expert). But had to get a bigger one, also a viper, hoping for some improvements!
You're still welcome to that ride if you wanna try it.

Nick, it's a dark metallic blue colour and just a bolt standard spec one in XL shaft and CCR guise.

It certainly looks the Biz, so I hope it's the right pitch.

Nasher.
It looks as if they've offset it to Port, but by how much, I haven't got a clue as I've not had time to measure it yet. I asked for 1.25" offset and 2" above the bottom of the hull, as per instructions from Osprey. I'll measure it up at the weekend.

What size prop are you running at the moment and what's the upgraded size Neil?

Just looking at the pics of your transom Andy. Are youy missing a trunk on that transom drain! Better fit one before you go for your first spin or there could be a lot of heartache

I think I have 19 at the moment, and the new one is 21, but I'm not putting it on til I've had them run the details through and check it should be OK
Keith at Powertech said I might need to go to 23

I think a 21" will be fine, it is a 7m RIB you know and with a 175 hung on the back I think 23 is too big.

Waterproofed the console this afternoon and fitted the helm unit. I've tried to include a photo of the inside of the console so that you can see the dividers in the bottom, these will seperate the fuel, electrical and 2 stroke oil tank. Also one of the pics shows the little railings I made up. These are to stop items falling off the horizontal surfaces.

you're probably right, but it does no harm to have them do the calcs. I don't want to have to buy another one, they are really expensive!

Who's doing the calcs? I always thought that prop selection was a bit of a black art - there are so many variables that the best way is to just try one!!
