I’ll double check template.

Talking of templates…anyone notice the howling error I’ve made with the remote template?

Handle is on the wrong side.

Managed to cram a fair amount on to mine

Never used the bulgin connector in anger at some stage might get round to fitting a Scanstrut wireless Qi charger/phone holder as think that would work well

you certainly have.

They look like some serious speakers! are they powered straight from the head unit or are they driven by an amplifier?

Made a start on the wiring today. It’ll be a lot easier to do it this way than with the console attached to deck. Marine ply glassed in to attach helm, controls and ancillaries.

Good progress ! From my recent expierience ,being 17.5 stone ,short armed and one eyed ,i would consider screwing the parts to a bit of ally or perspex/ similar and doing all the wiring on the table top ,then fitting later with flying leads and maybe a conduit tube heading up to the rear or the desktop mounted items, those blue sea terminal bus links are expensive for what they are but very labour saving and very neat ,would recomend

I’ve drawn the layout a gazillion times and I’ve settled on a final design.

Blue Sea everything.

That’s a bit like my office, I’ve been hiding parcels as they arrive in the post. I’ve got a chair in the corner that’s nothing but a pile of switches, fuse panels etc.

Made a start on the electrics. I shamefully stole the enclosure idea from a couple of forum members. It works a treat though, everything in the one box. I’m pretty sure I’ve accounted for everything. Just battery cables and ACR to go in. Click image for larger version

No I didn’t, it wasn’t on the wiring diagram I had. Ah thinking about it the ACR will stay “awake” without one.

I’ll see how I go with out it just now, my boats usually get stored with a Ctek maintenance charger on them anyway.

The enclosure isn’t finished yet, I’ve still to fit a switch on the side for internal console lighting so if I need to fit another it’s no big shakes.

I didn’t want any parasitic draw when we were off on tour with the boat.
