Ian & Debs are busy finding new rooms they didn't even know existed in their new house in Wales...and then setting up everything so we can all visit. Rumours that they will be charging premium B&B rates to Southern Wusses are as yet unfounded.
Good luck you 2 and family.

Not wrecked m as yet.
The 6.5 d3 diesel's now done 200 hours she was in the work shop for three weeks due to volvo over tightening the alternator arm and the bolts sheering off.
The 6m 115 suzuki's proven a bit to exiting for a training boat, so we are taking the 115 off and putting a 70hp suzuki on. The 115hp is going on my new boat, which will also be coded.
Ian's 7.5's running great
9.5 twin 250's as not arrived as yet.
We are not running the Demonstration centre any more as we are concentrating on our other businesses.

Jono,
When are you expecting your 9.5m? I have an 8.5m on order which was supposed to be here in April!

Hi Jono
So what exactly is too exciting? My 6m Prosport is due in 3 or 4 weeks time with a Suzzy 90. Will I be excited... ?

Erin

Erm 5.5m..... no I wasn't aware. And I recently queried the length as I needed to know for my mooring application. Jason told me it was 6 whereas his website says its 6.2 loa with 5.5 internal length. Whatever, it seemed the right size for me but I'd be more than a little bit annoyed to think I've been duped

Erin, Is your hull in the mould yet? Jason told me that my 8.5m would be ready in April, then it changed to mid May, then end of May! Now its June. I saw him on Saturday and he said there were supply problems; engine, A frame etc. Jason said that if the stuff arrives we should have our rib by the end of this week. I have now resorted to calling his suppliers direct. This morning I spoke to Shoreline, the Suz agent in Guernsey and Stainless Fabrications, the guy that makes the A frames. I established the Suz is still in the UK and the agent is waiting for Jason to order it down. The A frame was just ordered this morning! Basically the supply problem is Pro-sport, he has a fat order book, and he can't make them quick enough. I have numbers of suppliers if you would like.

Fantastic!
I do admire the Prosport "Do It Yourself" approach to selling you a RIB. None of this simply spec'ing a boat and handing over a cheque. You the punter get to progress chase supply of the essential components too. I am sure the next thing will be the "do your own fibreglass laminating" holidays to Jersey, where you get to actually build your own boat at no extra cost!

Pro Sport demonstration
Left TRT to sort the house out, it should be in a fit state for any visitors by end June, or NWR's before that (plenty of floor space).
Pro Sport! My 7.5 and the Suzi 250 are running like a dream. Only bit STILL missing is the screen grab rail which is in the post, and has been for over a month know!
Communications with Pro Sport are poor and for this reason the Demo Centre in Pwllheli has ceased to exist.
Deliveries seem to be an ongoing concern, I have to admit that mine arrived on the date in March that was set last October so no complaints there. Pro Sport have moved to larger workshops to expand production but getting hold of them is not simple!
I hope you have as much fun with your Pro Sports, when they arrive, as I have had so far with mine.

Hi Dangers
Yeah my hull is in the mould... in fact it's out now, or at least it was a week ago last friday when I went to see it. So far Jason seems to have kept to his word insofar as starting the production when he said he would (ordered 9 May), although there does seem to have been a bit of a delay with the engine. Originally due down last week but now won't be leaving UK 'til tomorrow so theoretically in Guernsey on Wednesday. We shall see.... Silly really, because the sooner he gets it, the sooner he gets payment #2 from me.
Managed to get this info today, after having tried phoning a number of times since last week. Perhaps a victim of his own success! Also a delay on the tubes so don't I don't know what's going on there really either. Will go and visit him again this friday... nothing better than dropping by so he doesn't forget about me. At least it's only 30 miles to travel to see him, though it ain't a particularly cheap 30 miles.
He did tell me he was going to push on with it to get it finished, ahead of the planned completion at the end of this month. I'll keep you guys posted.
Erin

We got fed up with trying to phone Jason yesterday, so took the afternoon off and borrowed a friends rib to go and see for ourselves what was happening. The good news is that the boat exists, and we found someone working on it, but it is certainly not in the late stages as we had expected. All we have is a hull. Apparently there was a mix up with the tubes and only 2 sets arrived instead of 4. Apparently our tubes are being made this week. Apparently everything else will arrive this week and our boat will be ready a week on Friday! I'm not holding my breath!
Ian, they told me that they are now fitting grab rails as standard. I know that Adrian at Stainless Fabrications 01481 248146 took at order from Jason yesterday.
Erin, if you want to know exactly where your engine is, speak to Bob at Shoreline Marine 01481 243959. He is the Guernsey Suzuki agent and all Suz engines have to be ordered through him.
