Are you sure it's not just that the shingle's been washed over it in the storms of late? Even Baiter inside Poole harbour almost disappears under sand after a good storm.

Public Slip at Eastney

Hi Olly

You need to speak to Portsmouth City Council. They are responsable for keeping the slipway clear.

Having said that it is a lot more difficult as the Hight & Flow of tide through the run does pile it up on the shoreline and very regular intervals as you will have found out.

I do know that the fishing club that run out of the compound next to the slipway do try and keep it clear as well.

Hope this is helpfull

See you in Church next month
