putting the record straight
As some of you may know i have been very seriously ill since november with a chest complaint to the point that i was in hospital including intensive care unit for a total of 6 weeks . I have now been out of hospital for 3 weeks and am slowly putting weight as i dropped from just over 70kgs to 53kgs and gaining strenth .I still have the underlying problem but now know that it is a very rare disease that over time should hopefuly be treatable although we do not know how much lung capacity i will get back at one point i was down to 23% of the lung capacity that i should have .The reason for making this more public knowledge is to thank those people that have heard about it for their well wishes and to stop some of the stupid rumours that have been going around . Tilley inflatable design & engineering ltd ( TIDEL : Hypalon RIB Tubes : New and Replacement Inflatable Retubes and Boat Tube Repairs ) is and will be in the future trading as normal .My wife and son who is studying marine engineering and manufacture and will eventually take over the business have both taken a bigger part in the day to day running when i couldn`t ,at present i am mainly working from home using my laptop and mobile phone whilst my 3 full time employees have stepped up to the mark and are doing an excellant job as always. We are in fact having our busiest year ever and hope to continue for years to come .So if any ribnetters out there hear any stupid rumours about my health or the business packing up please ignore them . Many thanks Paul Tilley and all at TIDEL

Hi Paul. I heard you were not in the best of health and I am glad to hear you are on the mend. Take care and if your lung capacity stays at a low percentage I promise that I won't tell you a really funny joke when we next meet. All the best Alan P

We hope you are on the mend Paul, I have to say to put your mind at rest and bearing in mind the number of people we deal with in the industry on a daily basis the first I heard about you being ill was your post on here a few days ago. Any rumours must be more localised than you think.
