PVC glue

Trawling through internet looking for suitable PVC tube repair glue, which there are many. My question being, would Plumbers PVC pipe glue do the same job.....I'm looking to stick back the wearing patches that are coming loose.

http://www.google.co.uk/products/cat...d=0CFgQ8wIwAQ#

I suppose I should just try it on a patch first and see if it melted the patch

I have no idea if that stuff would work, however I can point you in the right direction for some glue that will do the job....
