PVC or Acrylic???

Any thoughts on PVC or acrylic for a new cover? PVC is cheaper but heavier and can scratch. Acrylic is more expensive, lighter, but can go mouldy and is not as hard wearing.
Is anyone sorry (or really glad!) that they bought one or the other? I'd be really grateful for any thoughts or experiences.

Cheers

Nick

Our caravan awning is acrylic and is left up for 9 months of the year. So far it has been very good with no sign on mildew or mould.
It is easy to clean (gets a little slimey with leaves in the autum) and after 3 years looks almost like new.
Not exactly a boat cover I know, but its still in use most of the year.
