Chinese origin boats range from "awful" to "mediocre".
Worse yet, there's usually no warranty support if something goes really wrong.

No dis-respect, but shouldn't you have asked the question BEFORE you bought the boat?

Yes you have a point. But the offer was attractive and the importing Company covers a 5 year guarantee, so I figured to be covered i any case.

Ahh! Buy in haste, repent at leisure[emoji1] Chinese made boats have very mixed reviews on here. Some are truly awful whilst others seem to be ok. I think the quality is generally improving. Personally I've never heard of Q-boats.

I'm sure the "Q" stands for "Qingdao" which is a Big inflatable boat producing region of China.
They tend to use crap Korean glue with either Mirasol (Korean) or Mehler (German) PVC. CSM is almost always Achilles JP origin. They rarely use Pennel fabric. The more premium manufacturers use glue from Henkel (company who owns Loctite).
The GRP quality varies substantially. Most tube manufacturers buy their hulls from a subcontractor, rather than building them in-house.

Enjoy your new boat (and its warranty).
Remember there are posters on this website wondering how to avoid replacing worn out, leaky tubes.
Others with different difficulties.
We don't know how expensive it was and I'm not asking you to tell us.
I think you're getting a hard time before any facts are known.
If it's good let us know, if it's not let us know too. If it suits your needs great.
If not, well, move on to your next boat but don't be put off by forum comments running off in one direction.

Two years ago I took a chance and bought a cheap Chinese tender. It is clearly too soon to judge longevity but in use it has proved very good so far. It is slightly heavy (but the weight is in the transom which at least might be beneficial) but is otherwise very well designed and constructed. I was skeptical at the time but have been very satisfied.

At our boat club we've had two chinese tenders fall apart within four years of them being bought.
Another one(Same firm, same model, bought in the same year) is still all right though.
It's really strange.

They have no climate control in the factories. They use heatguns to accelerate the cure time of the glue, to decrease the risk of humidity contamination. It gives a very short working interval, and the glue can be over or under cured in many spots since the rate of heating will vary with each technician.
It's Russian roulette.
Chloroprene glues are easier to work with though, so CSM/Hypalon products are less likely to have problems.
