Diver 1, I've had a great idea for you. So great in fact that I was motivated to check it out this afternoon at a 0.11m low tide.
The slip at Coronation Park in Port Glasgow is great, and as you can see from the picture workable whatever the tide. Free, too. Just let estuary control know what you're up to (phone number on the sign by the slip) and you're away.

I've launched a dozen times and no issue.
Like someone said earlier in this thread: relax, you all worry too much.

I was more refering to the suggestion of an air bnb stay in the flats rather than the ramp itself, Id imagine through the day its not too bad but I'd still want a decent lock on if leaving a trailer anywhere that is largely unsecured.
And from the ops point of view id take a launch at Rhu marina first

Thanks Nick, much appreciated, the more options the better. It looks like we might just do Loch Lomond with the possible aim to run from Balloch to Ardlui, possibly walk to the falls of falloch and have lunch in the drovers and then a return leg including a stop a inchmurrin.
I presume you can tie up or anchor somewhere at Ardlui and Inchmurrin?
Should be a good run and we can safely say we've 'done' loch lomond then :-)
Hopefully its more successful and less midgy than the last time I was there with mountain bikes!
We're staying in a shed near loch lomond so got accommodation sorted.

There is a marina in Ardlui who will happily part you with some cash; There might be sufficient depth for you to get further up the river? Perhaps someone with a full size boat can confirm!
There is a "rickety" jetty at Inchmurrin. So long as you are buying something on the island, and don't block the ferry that seems to be OK.
FWIW - i've only once found a queue at Balloch more than 2-3 cars/boats long. On a monday (even a bank holiday) I think it should be OK - but parking may be harder unless you beat the locals out of bed (i.e. get there before 11). It may be worse now that Millarochy slipway is shut.
As another option, you could spend the day nr Easdale, there is plenty for a 3rd day of exploring. If you left there at 4pm you'd still make it to your accommodation in time for dinner!

If it was me... I'd head for loch Awe rather than Lomond... Try here: https://loch-awe.com/things-do/boat-hire/ Place is down an awkward approach drive, but a bit of care will get you there.
Fairly easy launch, reasonably priced, no licence and no speed police.... There is a limit but seems to be advisory rather than byelaw. Cliff's a nice guy too. And the fishing is better if you're that way inclined....
