Radar Arch yes or no
I am about to buy a new bare Rib that I am going to rig completely my self. It is about 5.4 m long
In the past I have not generally been a fan of a radar arch because it causes issues when putting a cover on the rib.
Do people on here feel an arch is a good thing to have and what benefits do you feel it gives. The cost for the boat in question is about £900

Do you mean an A frame? A frames are good for Nav lights, All round lights, VHF antennas, life rings, radar units and water sports. If you have alternate places for all these things then maybe don't bother, I think you can answer the question for yourself if you think about it.

Get a folding tower. I had a fancy one on my Nautique that completely folded under the cover and it was way taller than a RIB tower would be.

Folding sounds good. However, when I bought my Tornado I had a local workshop make one up for a very modest cost.
I think its great as it puts the lights up high, the VHF whip and the radar reflector up there and out of the way and I spec it so that it just fits under my garage door.
Its certainly nothing fancy, a plain inverted U shape, bolted to the transom via flat plates.

The a frame is an invaluable kit for mounting all communication kit ,virtually everything that can go on there will be hugely benefitial for safety with another metre above sea level ,plus useful for attaching ladder for wild water swimming not to mention the perfect mounting for youtube channel camera ,maybe 360 degree remote control camera would be perfect

Not really - my cover goes around the a-frame, then velcros back to gether, the club one has a running line to hold it back together.
The frame itself is invaluable in my eyes for boats used for more then a bit fo club safety cover.
If you shop about, you can spend less then your £900;
£600 - https://www.thewetworks.co.uk/produc...rame-194-238cm
£220 - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255933086...RoChR0QAvD_BwE
