On the seafront, Miles Bar used to be THE place but is now populated by stroppy staff, good grub tho if you can avoid a row. Enoteca's a decent bar, jazz room is noisy but okay, avoid the royal sovereign at all costs (unless you're an 18 year old chav in which case you'll love it) And portobello is possibly the worst restaurant I've ever eaten in, never seen half a restaaurant walk out without paying before! More modestly, Petes fish factory is superb.
