Random Home Made creations

I saw Whispers post in another thread, and it got me thinking...
What random boat type things have been created by members in their shed either to do a specific task or just because after a few beers it seemed like a good plan... I Shall start with a beer lead creation called "The Beast"

That's good. One foot on each board, tiller extension and planing beckons. Turning may not beckon, but I'm sure could be encouraged. :-)

It did plane ok, but there was a lot of spray between the hulls. I think if the outboard was higher up it probably would be better, as there is a lot of leg dragging in the water.

Be careful, you don't want it falling apart with the prop spinning.

Tempest undergoing trials on Loch Mhor
35 hp 2 stroke Evinrude on two canoes.
Since they didn't plane, bow waves sunk opposite canoes at about 25knts.
The second attempt utilizing hydrofoils fashioned from corrugated iron was less successful.

Excellent projects ... I'd wonder how long that transom would stay put though ... a deflector could have sorted the wash between the boards
