Re-Tubing cost

I've just bought a 6m rib to renovate, it will almost certainly require retubing. I've rung two tubing companies and had prices of £3750 and £3300 plus vat. Henshaws were one of them and they seemed an obvious choice due to their reputation but they both seem high to me. Am I out of touch ? Anyone got a more competitive supplier (Hypalon not PVC)

Thanks

Contact Jamie at JCraft on Chichester, he'll give you an honest price and Is bloody good, £3.5k would seem like a pretty good ball park figure, I was being quoted £2.5k for my 4.5m in the autumn.

Sounds about right.

3 years old indeed - cheeky. Actually I need to change my profile. Ribcraft now sold to the Germans. I've purchased an oldish 6m Ribeye (incoming!!!) to keep me on the water whilst I look for a suitable 9m rib later in the year. I have a foot op coming up in May which means I'll not be driving boats for two to three months afterwards so the 'eye is to keep me afloat until then and whilst I look for a 9 metre...

Ribcraft - were very helpful when I sold the boat, supplying long lost documents for my buyer who was very precise and wanted lots of/all of the paperwork for the boat which I did not have.

Price sounds sensible to me. Handmade skilled craftsman ship. Barnet marine have retube prices for doing it in polyurethane on their website. I guess the other place to ask is ribeye for the cost of putting new pvc tubes on it to original spec.

Good stuff.

The Ribeye footpump vs foot op might be a problem.

Have you had a quote off 'Ribraff' on here? He may be more competitive.
