Rear tube seam repair - Narwhal

Narwhal rib with rear tube seam problem is there a way to repair this? There is water inside the tube and no chance of inflating it as air escapes immediately. Also the hull foam is soaked is there anything that can be done there, was thinking of installing a bilge pump under deck.

Rear tube seam repair - Narwhal

Sadly Narwhal RIBs don’t have the best reputation for the tubes lasting a long time; the most common issue seems to be the seams failing. You can probably reglue that maybe using a larger patch between the current two surfaces to provide a better surface to glue to than the delaminated fabric.

Re foam in the hull - sounds like someone has filled it with foam at some point? It’s pretty inevitable that it’ll eventually start soaking up water hence isn’t a great idea to start with. Your best bet would be to some how get the foam out of there if you can. If you have got water ingress work out where it’s coming from and seal the leak. But yes an auto electric bilge pump is also a good idea.
