Recommendations- welding

Hi,

Can anyone recommend someone to weld stainless steel in the Yorkshire/Derbyshire area?
I need a plate welding onto my A frame.

Hard to find good people these days. My buddy who lives in Beverley had his last bit of stainless work done by someone in Arundel (south coast way)!

I have a tig welder and argon gas - but alas, I'm more of a grinder than a welder, despite all the practice.

It is just practise, practise, practise, and more practise. Eventually you will lay down a bead of perfect pennies. Once that stage is reached, it is a bit like riding a bike and you never really forget how to do it.

Ali is a bit more difficult as you have to move faster, but the ‘row of pennies’ is very satisfying 😉👍
