Regular inflating

Hi all

Is it bad to regularly inflate and deflate the tubes on an Avon 620?
I have driveway width issues and was thinking I could deflate before I move and then inflate at the marina or is that a bad idea?

It's not a bad idea - just a PITA. I'd suggest leaving the bow section inflated and deflate the rear sections possibly in two stages to see how that suits your driving. You'll need to strap the loose fabric up to the hull - I use ratchet straps in pipe insulation. Be sure to strap the tubes to the boat - not around the trailer sections. You'll need a really good 12v pump - one that shifts big volume, and a reliable power supply/battery.

I’d inflate before towing rather than at the marina: so pull out of space park safely close by, inflate tubes, tow to launch place; go boating; tow home, park safely outside, deflate tubes, manoeuvre trailer to space. Ideally then store inflated to stop mice etc being able to get a grip!

Thanks very much everyone. What pump would you think would do the job? Ideally after one with a pressure gauge so I don't pop the tubes
