Remember the Tricolor?

As in the RoRo ship that sunk in the Channel a while ago and was subsequently hit by a number of ships who failed to notice a clearly marked and well know wreck! Here's some pics of the salvage operation where they cut her in sections an lifted her onto a barge.

Now then, if they cut her up like that then a fair amount of her cargo must have fallen out during the recovery of each section. so who wants a new BMW and does anyone facny a bit of diving.

Couple of video clips on that web site too.

Apparently the ship was owned by the Capital Bank of Scotland. Guess the Share holders won't be celebrating this year.

Yeah. Look at the engines. It's gone in behind one of the flywheels and cut throught the crankshaft, travelled to the next one and cut most of the way through the flywheel and then popped out, missed the 3rd one and moved on to cut throught the propeller shaft. I bet that took the edge off the cutters.
