Replacement Engine

Having had my great 150 Mercury Optimax stolen two weeks ago, I now need to find its replacement. Spending plus £10k on a new replacement is a bit much considering the amount of use my boat gets these days.

So I am also considering a used motor to fit my Solent RIB 6.5. Transom height from bottom of hull to top of transom is 23 inches. Preferably around the 150 / 175 HP mark.

If any members have something that might suit please let me know.

I do have a Honda 130 coming in which is only 1 year old with less than 20 hours on it, remainder of its 6 year warranty and rigging included. Its currently fitted to a sports boat which I'm thinking of splitting it up and fitting an older motor on as the boats 2004. Depends what its worth on its own tbh. Not sure on list price for Honda as I try to avoid them where possible.

Other than that we have an older (2004) Opti 135 going cheap with low hours, plus a 2005 Yam HPDI 150 which again I know of and is going cheap. No larger 4 strokes available at the moment, can get a good trade quote on any new make via our contacts though and pass on some of the saving
