Replacing a keel strip?

The caribe Im looking at needs its keel strip replaced, the rubbers shot.

Is keel strip a generic part I can get from another manufacturer or is it specific to the model? It just looks like flexible rubber.

As far as I know, it's usually an aftermarket type thing (though some may be applied at the factory.) Nothing boat model specific, anyway, unless you're talking about a custom aluminum or stainless job. The glue-on ones are usually made of an abrasion resistant plastic, I think.

thanks guys. i decided to give it a miss as i never touch sand or rocks and its got 80% of the old one still in tact ;-p
