humber

ahhhh..... it's always good when the conversation gets round to humbers as folk line up on either side of the floor to dance around.......

if we are being realistic, then there's always the transom max. to think about,

and following BruceB's comments, yep, I'm also running a 5.8 destroyer, not as heavy as Bruce's (not half the toys he's got in there )
oh and being only a boy in the technical bits....
using a 100 yam 4 stroke I can get through my £5.50 worth of fuel in 3.9 miles, or 8 miles depending on how I drive, and still being 'dead technical' - thats with a prop thats not the supplied one, rather a one to give me a bit more push at the start, rather than top end speed, which works out at about 35mph, on a boat that weighs 860kg

the 90 suzi is fine on the 6m rib, gone up from standard pitch which I think was 19inch to 21 (and I aint going out to the garage to look cos its cold!)to keep the revs down.

Should JG Bodfuan not be a trade member? Seems like advertising to me!

Just because it SEEMS like advertising, doesn't mean that it is. He appears to be within both the letter and the spirit of the law, to wit;

"It is acceptable to use your company's web site address as the Home Page URL in your profile. You may also have a link to your web site in your signature."

Anyway, he's out of season...

Might have been duck wake but due to "artistic license" I'm going to call it a F8 and might change my mind in a few months and call it a F10.....
