However if new and shiny is what you want I'd have a good look at a Yammie f70 (I Hurts recomending a 4 stroke) but the one we have bought is stunning and extremely light weight lighter than you 75.
we have one on a 5 metre hull and with 2 of us on it (about a 250kg payload its showing us 37 knots AND SAYING PUT A BIGGER PROP ON ME! And the fuel consumption is tiny
The Etec is a very heavy engine to put on a lovely nippy hull IMHO I'd also look at a Suzi 90 I don't think they are any heavier than the etec.
I've got a feeling theres a card carrying RYA member with a Ribeye and an Etec thats just permanently crossed me off his Xmas card list.

Thanks mate ... I take your points
6 -7 years ago .. a £40K boat wasnt a problem, but with kids at Uni now .. plus recession .. I cant afford to splash like old times
.. and when I picked up this wee Tornado .. I knew its tubes were shot, but I was desperate to keep on the water ( where's fooking Simon Bates when you need 'im ?)
And anyway bit by bit .. I got it retubed, and... its a wonderful wee bote
and having cruised aplenty over the last 15 years in various other craft .. I just want it to be a solid wee boat to last me the next good few years without too much outlay, and to be 100% reliable for me to enjoy ..
I know the Yammie is a good tool but I just dont know what its been through ? so I thought .. hey I dont need to cruise the world no more .. maybe stick a fresh lump on it ... and it be good for another 10 .. without me having to worry about it
Its such a good hull it would easily take 90 .. cant find a plate, but I'd be certain it would take it ok ? Anyone any ideas ?
