You wouldn't want to eat anything that I have been involved with incinerating, and as for the tea, I have it on good authority that you are the expert in that department

At the money it could, you'd sell the boat + trailer for £500 which would give you a cheap motor, hydraulic steering too which would come in useful.

The outboard lock would be excellent, I can remember if we need deck glands or not though, will check tomorrow

Electrics & Electronics
Cracking project.
Positive Marine Electronics (my day job & I'm a newly paid up trade member) would love to support the project by coming down with our van full of tools & goodies (cable, connectors, buzz bars, and the like) plus a days labour to wire up when the time comes.
We're more bigger boats & yachts but most of the stuff is applicable.
Sure we can find a VHF aerial too as I don't see that donated yet.

Nice one Daniel! You've got the job! Thank you
I'll bring down all the kit so it's with the boat, we have a VHF arial already donated by RIK who's bringing it down at the weekend.
We will have to do the console and A frame first but we'll let you know as soon as it's ready, probably in a few weeks?
Do you have a company logo or a pic of a sign written van so that I can update our face book page.
I think the only thing we are missing elecronic wize is a battery if anyone see's one on their travels

I'll arrive at Biffer's at around 10am
We'll get the rib in the workshop and have a good look at what we need to do.
We need to remove the console so that it can be stripped and Low Flyer will collect the upholstery so that it can be recovered.
The A frame and brackets need to come off to be taken to Nugent for it's restoration and painting.
The straps need to be removed and the deck needs to be cleaned and inspected.
The whole rib will be hoisted off the trailer, turned over so that the underneath clan be cleaned, repaired and polished.
We'll leave the rib at biffer's so that he can work on a repair/upgrade to the transom supports.
By this time we will know what is the best way to get the nonslip part of the deck sorted as the original is nonslip paint and it would be good to upgrade it to nonslip gelcoat
In a few weeks time and once the hull and deck are complete it will be time for the rib to go to RIB tubes, RIB collars, yacht fenders and much more - Henshaw Inflatables Ltd for Christopher to do his thing with his team
We'll keep hold of the console while she's having her tubes pampered and get that perfect too
If you would like to join in, help or learn then please do PM me for Biffer's address
|
If you have any of these bits please bring them, clean rags or dusters, clean paint brushes, rubber gloves (I think I might have a box of those ones they use in that back room in airport customs)
Probably have a bbq on the saturday lunch time too, so a burger or a couple of sausages would be good RIK is bringing down the food for sunday
