Only a few of us have had the experience of how it effects the people around you, you've just got to cope with the cancer, they got to cope with loads more and a cancer ridden idiot who wants constant attention, I reckon that going to work was an escape for Fiona

Make that £1050 Biffer, saw discussion earlier in the thread about contributions being a loan but mine is non returnable which is the least I can do considering the fantastic efforts from all involved

I'm just transferred another £40 from someone so with yours that's £1090 and as far as I know nobody wants any back. I was wondering whether we could get this to the boat show for the auction

All donations are non refundable as they are donations, everyone will see what we have bought with this money on Sunday, we are a bit short but Neil Harvey is putting up the money until we have raised enough to pay him back.
We have several parts to sell that will really help with this so I'll start a parts for macmillan for sale thread late on Sunday.
Thank you all for support with this and your trust too and when you see what we have bought with the money I'm sure that you will all love it Keep an eye on this thread on Sunday...
Biff, I have been trying really hard to get us into the London Boat Show but no reply as yet but it wouldn't hurt for you lot to send your own emails to:

Boat Show emails all sent....
Hi,
My name’s Alex, I post as Whisper on the All About Rigid Inflatable Boats - RIB Enthusiasts forum. I am writing to you regarding a fantastic PR opportunity for your company at The London Boat Show...
We are building a Rigid Inflatable Boat out of nothing!!! Except for donations and donated parts and services from people who care from the marine industry. The idea is to restore a RIB and then auction it for the highest price and give 100% of the proceeds to Macmillan Cancer Support via our JustGiving page Rib. net is fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support
This story will be covered by Powerboats and RIB Magazine in a 2000 word article that will include everyone who helped and also on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Rib-4...92579350800614
What we need is space at the London Boat Show so that we can bring along this boat and show it to the public to get publicity for this project and this great cause. Do you have enough room on your stand for us? The Rib is 5.4m long or with the trailer it’s around 6m.
We have a proven track record with fundraising and so far this year we have raised over £8,800 circumnavigating the Isle of Wight and with over 940 forum posts and over 50,000 hits, we are really being noticed by sponsors in the Marine Industry. You can read all the posts here: http://www.rib.net/forum/f18/round-i...3-a-52535.html
Our new Project has a new thread and we already have loads of backing from sponsors and individuals, we have already had several donations on our new JustGiving Page and we already have 600 posts and over 20,000 hits on our new thread http://www.rib.net/forum/f8/rib-4-macmillan-58193.html
So far our sponsors include, Spinlock, icom, Garmin (via a marine dealer), Henshaw Inflatables, BoatsandOutboards4sale and SPR Marine and we really hope that you support us with the rest of these great companies.
Thank you so much for your time and I look forward to working together to promote this great cause and hopefully meeting you in person.
My very best regards,
Alex
