If we don't have them already donated I will supply carling type switches from my van of goodies when I come down (they don't infact live in my van, but I have some). Same for battery isolator if we want one.

Can post down beforehand if biff or others want to do the physical installation before the wire-up job.

Are the Nav light fittings up to re-use or due for replacement?

I'll know about the navs when the frame comes back, it had type42 aqua signals on it, I am making a blanking plate for the console that had a gauge in it. I will leave it blank till we sort the switches out

TUBE NEWS!

Ok, so after an email from Chris at Henshaw Inflatables to say that he had decided to donate a brand new set of tubes for our Macmillan Rib I dicided to pop down there with the guy who donated the boat

After a long discussion of what we were going to do we all felt like this was an opportunity not to be missed and a chance to make our project a little bit special...

After laying out several of the fabrics we came to a final decision on the spec of the new tubes, ok so here it goes...

Henshaw's are going to make a set of identical tubes in terms of design however there will be one difference, the colour What we have decided on is to change the colour of the tubes to black with all black fittings and the Avon rubbing strakes also in black

The fabric that has been chosen is Black Velvet 1500gsm 1670 detex Hypalon This is much more durable than the normal 1300gsm, it has a soft feel to it but has a matt appearance

On the way home I picked up a set of brand new Black FC470 paddles again donated by our anonymous boat collector

It was great meeting the team at Henshaws, what a great team

So, now over to Chris to show us how it's all done

Here's a pic of the fabric, the rubbing strakes in the photo are there to see the colour and they are not the type being used...

Oh Wow, that is impressive and very kind of them. It really will be a mint boat now. Are you going to put similar graf handles etc on?

It might go for some serious money now to be fair!!! Well done all.

What timeframe are you on for auction? Will it be taken on some of the Ribnet Cruises in 2014? Anglesey?
