I think red would work well - better than green - it won't be a naval boat (sorry ShinyShoe - unless we get a donation from Mr Browning (don't think it will take a Bofors or Oerlikon!)

The whole boat is black and grey, if you had done the black upholstery with red piping then maybe red pin stripe, best thing maybe is get it done then hold a red or a grey or green stripe up and see what looks in keeping

If it helps, these are Henshaw tubes in the same fabric with grey patches.

RIBase
When it was posted up about black tubes and black rubbing strake my first thought was that maybe it was too much black and a grey rubbing strake would've set it off nicely.

On that basis it would have to be a grey stripe.

Just my tuppence worth.

just you wait till I post my pics on Saturday, see who's laughing then eh

anyway, don't see much point in going on about grey tubes, Chris has made a fantastic gesture of replacing the tubes, I for one think they look brilliant, and at the end of the day we are looking at raising as much dosh for MacMillan as possible, so we should be looking at the widest appeal we can with colours etc n not limiting the build to a narrow spec, but hey what do I know

That's a LOW Waterline/transom!! Does it slosh over in reverse/stern to sea etc?

Nice boat though!

Yep, it's an open transom at the sides, Arctics and Atlantics have a similar set up. Makes washing the deck very easy.........

I have a mould here somewhere that will cure that low transom, done a good few of them where they fail the coding surveys

Problem is if I raise the transom my wee outboard legs won't reach the water anymore....
